We Love Luci

Luci Kristina made her way into the world December 27, 2008 at 5:28pm. Thank heavens for the snow storm that day because labor was not progressing but they did not want to send us home in the snow (yeah!). She is absolutely beautiful, weighing in at 6lbs even (they said they rounded up- technically 5lbs, 15.4 ounces) and 19 inches long. She is our little bean. Little Luci is doing wonderfully and came home today. Maddie was funny at the hospital- she thought my hospital gown was really pretty and wanted to wear the spare that was in the bathroom. she is a girl through and through. And Wes has been a little trooper and doing a great job and sharing mom's attention (for the most part). Thanks for everyone's support- and all of the Robison cousins who came to visit -the maternity ward didn't know what was coming when all those kids walked in! We can't wait to have more visitors at home! She is so sweet and we welcome her with lots of love into our family.

Madelina Ballerina

If any of you have had little girls in dance class, you can relate. Maddie had a little dance recital and she was so cute and funny all at the same time-definately a little "spacey" but enjoyed herself all the same. We enjoyed her too, and even got a little choked up! There sure is a lot to blog about these days, but I know I am doing all the grandparents a big favor by putting up lots of posts! love and miss you all.

Steve Buscemi Gingerbread Man

Has anyone seen the cell phone commercial with the voice of Steve Buscemi (seedy character, always the bad guy- Fargo, anyone?) as the gingerbread dad? He is out fixing his house when a human hand comes down and grabs a bite and exposes his gingerbread wife in the bathtub and he says in his Steve Buscemi way "Ah, come on, man, it's the holidays!" Well, the other night we were driving home sort of late for the kids and Maddie was getting really wild. Justin repeatedly told her to settle down. Finally he says "Maddie, I mean it. It is time to calm down!" Maddie replies, in her best Steve Buscemi voice "Ah, come on, man, it's the holidays!" We both started laughing. So much for effective parent discipline. Here are some pics of Maddie playing in the snow after church on Sunday. She LOVED it (Wes was taking a nap). Maybe we might just have a white Christmas?

Thanksgiving and Christmas Decor

Well, since it seems that Christmas decor is up before the turkey hits the oven, i figured i could post these pics all in the same blog. We had Sheila and Bob and Grandma to dinner and had enough for twenty even though there were only 7! (which includes two little people who ate enough to fill an ant). We had a great day and even let Bob and Sheila beat us at a wild game of Trivial Pursuit. Also, some pics of the kids decorating the tree. Wes would say "I did it!" after un-carefully placing each ornament. (yesterday he was throwing a giant Barbie car into the tree, knocking down ornaments and almost the tree). Maddie got sparkly Disney Princess ornaments from her surrogate grandma Lisa, and decided they needed to be all in a row, in the very front of the tree. We are now an advertisement for a merry Disney Christmas. Also, Maddie got to see Prancer the reindeer in the pouring rain for pre-school. Very exciting. We love and miss everyone and have a feeling Luci will be joining us before Santa. (She had me in the hospital this morning- false alarm thank goodness but good thing I have my shopping done because now I am on orders to relax! Happy December!

Happy Happy 4th Birthday Maddie!

Our little princess had a fantastic weekend! She had fun on Saturday at Boondocks with some family friends and then Sunday, had the grandmas over for dinner and presents and cake. Thanks everyone for making her day so special! She LOVED all of her presents from everyone. Of course, Wes insisted on joining the princess action. By the end of the day, she was exhausted and chilled on the couch with dad watching Wizard of Oz, holding her new Sleeping Beauty doll, wearing her own matching dress. Priceless. Some days I wish she wouldn't get any bigger, and then she does. She has been talking about her birthday since last year- and then today she started talking about "well, when I turn five..." Funny girl.

What Do You Do In Your Spare Time?

Wes spends his in a dry bathtub playing with Barbies, who are not clothed. He was, however, trying to put a swimsuit on one...I'm glad he has some sense of modesty...

Thirty Something

I don't usually post things of myself but here I am blowing out my three candles. Just times that by eleven. I didn't want to melt the ice cream cake. Thanks, mom and dad for having me so then I could enjoy such a great life! And thanks to my kids and husband and everyone else for always being so good to me! Lots of loves and hugs from me. Sad that I have to send them out via a blog. Just know that I love you all. And Happy 23, Kasey. Despite the popular beliefs of our family members, I have always enjoyed sharing a birthday with you!
