Wes's first trip to Dentist Dad, and of course to Maddie it was old hat. Wes watched Maddie first and then it was his turn. He held tight to his firetruck for comfort! No cavities! Great job guys!

Green Hands and Eggs
Here we go. I am now starting back at April 2010 and will work my way forward until we are caught up. So this post is all about Easter 2010. If I remember right, Wes colored every one of his eggs green, as you can see by his hands! And Luci caught on to picking up eggs, but would rather eat her marshmallow peeps, which is what she is all about even today. That is how we got her potty-trained a few months ago- with peeps- worked like a charm. The kids got new umbrellas. If I remember right, Wes's lasted about two hours and then was dismantled :) Maddie of course loved hers and pranced around like a princess. At this point, little Luci was still running around saying "hi" to everyone and getting into everything, climbing on everything- a lot like Wes was at that age (15months). This was our first Easter in Washington and so was good to also spend time with family- not sure where those pics are but they are somewhere! Anyway, good holiday.

It's Been Awhile
Well, we are still alive! I haven't blogged since March of 2010!! Can you believe what a slacker I have been? I have had good intentions but just have not acted on them! Among other amazing things, we have another kid in our family, sweet sweet AJ. I have decided to turn over a new leaf just in time for fall! I have decided a few things need to happen in my life and the lives of my babies and blogging again will hopefully help me reach some of those goals. Here are the "things" I hope to accomplish:
1. I feel life is zooming past! I wish I had a rewind or pause button so I can soak in the moments. I want to begin journaling again so I can keep track of the amazing big and little moments, as well as the chaos and funny things, and maybe some serious things that happen here at the Robisons.
2. As I blog about daily life, I hope to create greater gratitude in my heart for the daily joys my children and hubby bring, which hopefully will outshine the crazier things (toilet paper holder alongside a big poop in the toilet, anyone?)
3. If you know me, you know I have a perma-scowl in-between my eyebrows. I think I wear my emotions on my face. And even though I love life and my kids, I tend to let the daily grind get to me. Part of blogging (really an on-line journal) is to help me to RELAX!! I have always envied funy relaxed people and daggummit, I want to be one of them! Maybe I won't ever be funny, but hopefully relaxed and fun for my kiddos to be around.
That should do it for now. So, until tomorrow, quote of the week by Maddie on Saturday nght when she was in the tub: "I'm not tired! I'm just crying!"

Sunny Last Weekend
Now that this weekend is non-stop rain, I need to post last weekends pics- It was such a beautiful weekend! Justin was still on his crutches so we took a few drives around the peninsula and checked out Faye Bainbridge State Park, and Kopachuck State Park. Faye Bainbridge was better suited for our family- short walk to the beach full of driftwood for the kids to play around, lot's of sand, and a playground. Luci loved giving us handfuls of sand and Maddie and Wes played in a house that someone had made out of drfitwood. We had a beautiful view of Mount Rainier too!

My babies, My Valentine's
Happy valentine's everyone! My sis in law gave me the great idea of making the kids "lovebirds" for Valentine's day- they loved them, and their fun "lip" suckers. We had pink pancakes and Reese's peanut butter hearts for breakfast and heart shaped hamburgers and shakes for dinner! Last weekend it was a beautiful day so my friend and I took the kids out and took a few pictures. Here are some of them- I tell you, I learned something that day- hiring a photographer is priceless! It is TOUGH to get good pictures of kids, especially when you are trying to get all three of them at the same time! Oh, and tonight, the kids were luging across the kitchen floor. I had to take pictures- Wes was even wearing his bike helmet!

Lulu Tutu Turns One!
My little baby turned one on December 27th, and she is still my baby! This pint size kid is certainly not pint size in personality. She says "HI!" to everyone she sees and is always on the move. She has been walking for forever, it seems like, and being no bigger than a minute, she takes many people by surprise. Thanks to her cousins for helping her celebrate. We all love her to pieces and wish her a Happy Birthday!
Christmas and Holiday Fun!
Well, Christmas came, and I can't believe it already went. We had so much fun, that the time went by too fast. Christmas Eve was spent with the Thompsons, and I would have to say the highlight of the night was the talent show. Everett's jokes, Kasey's egg juggling and Marc's Donald Duck Jingle Bells were a few of my favorites. Christmas morning was full of surprises for the kids and we all had a good time. Then, on Dec. 27th, we sang a quick "Happy Birthday" to Luci and made our way that morning to Boise, and then on to Utah the next day to surprise Justin's mom and see his brother Wade in from Prague. Despite having a sick Lulu, we had a great trip, which included sledding behind Grandpa's ATV and going to the Dinosauer museum. It was good to see everyone. Maddie always asks me "why isn't Washington closer to Utah?" She had a great time with her cousins dressing up and having sleepovers. Loves to all and although we had a blast, we are looking forward to a quiet New Year.
