Go Cougars!

We drove up to Seattle for the BYU-Husky game- the drive stunk (thanks Wes) but the trip itself was great. We sat with all the Husky alumni and had a great time cheering loudly for our team! Thanks Kari and Marc for the tickets and for putting up with the opposing team sitting next to you! And the kids had ball playing with their cousins while mom and dad spent their day at the game.

Fall Photos

Bev, our sister-in-law, took some amazing photos of our kids. She is the best photographer and sister-in-law ever! thanks for being patient, Bev. The pictures turned out so great. I think they are the essence of my children. Here are a few to tickle your taste buds, and for me to show off how adorable I think my own kids are. Isn't that what a family blog is?? Just for the record, I think all your kids are adorable too.

Our Little Pre-Schooler

Maddie started pre-school this week- what a big girl! We are so proud. Daddy did her hair- great job dad! Wes thought he was big too. Funny kid!

Camping in Idaho City

The summer is almost over and we had not gone camping yet. I convinced Justin we should go somewhere close so we drove up to Idaho City and camped at Greyback Gulch. It started off pretty good- roasted hot dogs, smores, the usual. Then bedtime hit. I figured Wes wouldn't sleep great, but that kid did not sleep at all!! He woke up every half hour, which meant not only him, but the rest of the camp too. Poor little Maddie slept through most of it but then by 3am she was up too, saying "mom, when we get home, we'll paint our toenails pink!" Funny what kids think about at 3am. We were all glad when morning hit, although it was freezing and Wes, at 8am and after about 2-3 hours of sleep, was ready to go explore. He dragged us all out of bed, much to our dismay. Well, we got our fill of camping for the year, that is certain. Crazy house, huh? It is actually someone's residence in Idaho City.

I'm a Girl!

I thought the ultrasound photo of the head would be more appropriate than, well, you know. We are sooo excited! Maddie was not surprised at all- the doctor whispered in her ear and then Maddie made the announcement. She said "it's a little sister". It was really cute. So now I need to dust off Maddie's boxes of clothes and see what's wearable! SO congratulations aunts and uncles and grandmas and grandpas!

New Kitchen- sort of

Wes found a place he can call his own (ie-nobody else can fit in there!) We (or should it be "I"; poor Justin gets suckered into this stuff. I think every man in America curses HGTV) have started the arduous task of painting our worn down oak kitchen cabinets. Me being pregnant and having two little people, this is a VERY slow project.
