The Zoo and Grandparents

They are completely unrelated but how else was i supposed to title my post? Grandparents don't belong in zoos! We recently took a trip to the zoo to see the new giraffes and the whole new Africa section. The kids LOVED all of it. We also met Grandma Sheila and Grandpa Bob at Shoshone Falls last Saturday. There was so much water! We spent the night and went up to Hailey and Ketchum the next day. We brought our bikes but it was a bit too cold this time.

What better thing do i have to do on a cold wednesday afternoon than take pictures of my baby? I feel like time is already slipping through my fingers. Good thing the other two were busy watching movies...

Thank You Easter Bunny!

Happy Easter everyone. Here are a few pictures from our Easter weekend adventures. They are pretty self-explanatory. And if you remember from last year, Maddie once again dressed herself in a VERY interesting egg hunt ensemble. Wes was good at throwing his eggs as hard as he could into his basket, and he did not actually carry it around but left it on the patio and would run to his basket every time he found an egg. Such a boy. We sure miss all of you. We asked Maddie if she knew what Easter was all about- she says "It is about Jesus being recognizeded". Yeah, something like that. It is fun having kids and doing the things I have such good memories of when i was little. The only thing missing was the "Ten Commandments" on tv tonight.

David Archuleta!

HEy, David Archuleta was sitting two rows behind us in church today! Of course we were late as always and sat in the overflow. Justin came in last and says "hey, David Archuleta is sitting behind us". We weren't the only ones to notice. He went to use the bathroom and i had to leave to feed Luci and in the foyer were all these girls waiting for him to come back (this is in the middle of sacrament meeting mind you). As I headed down the hallway, he was headed towards me but when he saw all the girls waiting for him, he quickly turned around and went the other way. Poor guy. Can't even go to church without a crowd following! But I have to admit, I did have my pen handy just in case! He left during the closing song- I think to avoid the scene. And i was so looking forward to shaking his hand!

Little Buddy

this kid keeps us laughing. Sometimes I feel he gets the short end of the stick, being in the middle and having an older sister who likes to talk for him. Yesterday I found him on the phone, talking away in Wes-language, no pants. Two nights ago Justin found him fast asleep crouched in the rocking chair- if you can't tell, it is really a tight squeeze! Always a special place in my heart for our little buddy.

Blessed Day

Today was blessing day. My heart is full with gratitude for our families who made the trip to visit us and to our parents who are so loving and good to our kids. Luci was so sweet all day and made it through most of her blessing without a cry. Gosh, I'm at a loss for words.
