Grandma and Grandpa Come to Town July 23, 2010

Grandma and Grandpa came to visit! hooray! The kids love when they come to town and Mom and Dad love it too! The kids miss them when they are gone and are so delighted when they come to stay. We took them to Fort Flagler beach. You could tell Grandma wasn't from these parts- she kept her coat on in the middle of July!! Grandma and Maddie found lots of seashells and we also saw a baby seal on the beach!

Tiny Dancer June 2010

Maddie had her dance recital for "Just for Kicks". They did an old Beatles song and jazzed it up. The girls were sooo cute, if I do say so myself :) Proud Grandma and Grandpa joined us for the event. Is anything cuter than little dancing girls.

Summer trips July 2010

Our first summer trip was with the Thompson clan up to Port Angeles, Sequim, Dungeness Spit, and Forks (had to get our Twilight fix), and Hurricane Ridge. It was a typical northwest fourth of July- COLD!! Actually it wasn't too bad, but certainly not warm. The first day at Dungeness Spit was super fun, and that night we stayed at the Downtown Hotel in Port Angeles-old, remodeled, community bathrooms, but clean and fun. Went to Forks on the 4th and it was POURING rain in that place. It played its role well as the wettest city in America. Watched Port Angeles Fireworks (not bad) and our favorite parts were playing in the water at the spit and sledding in boxes up at Hurricane Ridge.

Our second trip was first a flight to Boise to celebrate Grandma Pearl's 90th birthday! She was so happy and it was neat to see the living legacy she has created. Then we drove down to Utah and did the usual fun in the sun with the Robison cousins. As always, their favorite thing is swimming at Marin and Lorin's pool, and sleep overs at Sydnee's.

Preschool Graduation, Summer Begins June 2010

Maddie graduated preschool, and we went to the beach! First warm day we headed out with cousins and Grandparents to enjoy the sun at Fay Bainbridge State Park.

Trampoline, Wicked May 2010

This was a busy month! Kids got a new trampoline, which they the jumped on for about a day, and then it rained non-stop for a few weeks! But they loved it anyway. Justin and I celebrated our 7 year anniversary by taking separate trips on accident, he to Florida with old college buddies, and me to San Francisco for shopping and Wicked with Sheila, Lynne, and Jodi. I think I had more fun on my trip than he did on his :) On this trip, I made the first announcement that I was expecting child number four! It was a surprise to everyone, even me and Justin, so we waited awhile to tell anyone. Oh, and Luci got a new swimsuit...

Oh Canada! April 2010

We took a trip with Grandpa Merlin to Canada where he served his mission. On the way up we stopped at the tulip fields, which were so beautiful! We went to the Vancouver Temple Open House and saw the temple and drove around Vancouver, visiting a few sights and Grandpa's old mission home. Wes still talks about that trip and the train that would go past our hotel room window all night (which the adults weren't super happy about :) the kids LOVED hanging out in Grandpa's room and playing on his bed! The trip was well worth it, even if we had the slowest booth at the border crossing :)

The Dentist- March 8, 2010

Wes's first trip to Dentist Dad, and of course to Maddie it was old hat. Wes watched Maddie first and then it was his turn. He held tight to his firetruck for comfort! No cavities! Great job guys!
